FILIS is a performance that delivers connections in different modalities of non-verbal communication, crossing multiple languages: mime, dance and LIS (Italian Language of Signs), each used in a dramaturgical process for storytelling. The signs are in dialogue with mime and choreography: the balanced use of them supports the power of expression for each language form, away from decorative application. Therefore FiLis can be experienced with equal semplicity by kids with or without earing impales. The entire process becomes so a moment for communication, visibility and embodiement for what a communicative body can be. For that reason together with the performance is still ongoing the workshop open to kids and families, as a moment to experience languages, communities and playfulness of bodies and relationships.
